![]() The purpose of this was to post it to cross-pollinate our followers. Within the first hour, we did the thing that only two wanna-be influencers like us could do: we posed for a selfie together. ![]() I still found him handsome, but it wasn’t the epic drop-dead gorgeousness that I had become accustomed to online. And hopefully, we would mess around together too. ![]() My loneliness had escalated and getting to hang out with Duke would surely rectify this. Nothing else makes you feel quite like a loser than this. I had just been friend-dumped by my closest friend in town. This visit couldn’t have come at a better time. He booked the trip with his partner to come visit in May. It was Insta-co-dependence at its finest.Ī year or so after chatting, Duke found a great deal on flights to my city of Denver. We’d vent to one another when a photo didn’t do well or if people unfollowed us - telling each other what the other wanted to hear. He and I would help each other choose pics and come up with captions. Our accounts were both growing and this had us equally giddy for more. I didn’t have many friends in the real world and chatting with someone who could actually hold a conversation (even if it was in the digital world) uplifted me. The timing was perfect as I was starting to feel a bit lonely in this writing venture. He looked great and I immediately wanted to jump his bones.īut bone-jumping aside, our chats continued to be more about friendship. I appreciated the fact that Duke trusted me with his naked photos as he didn’t seem the type to do that.
